The purpose of this course is to prepare nurses licensed in Texas to practice within the boundaries of the Texas Nurse Practice Act (NPA). This course will allow the attendees to better understand the NPA, describe the Texas board of nursing rules and regulations including TBON Rule 217.11 and 217.12. Additionally, through nursing intervention examples and analysis of case studies, nurses will be empowered to apply standards of nursing practice; locate the TBON position statements; identify nurse professional boundaries and illustrate nursing code of ethics.
